This Child Safety Policy describes the steps Hangzhou Huanyutianqi Technology Co., Ltd. takes to protect children from exploitation, abuse, and any other harm on Aove Mate (the "Service"). It is published in compliance with Google Play's Child Safety Standards Policy and equivalent Apple App Store requirements.
Our commitment
Protecting children is non-negotiable. We commit to:
- Enforce a strict 18+ age requirement at registration, with on-going re-verification when accounts show suspicious signals.
- Maintain zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, or any form of exploitation of minors.
- Use industry-standard detection technology (PhotoDNA-style hash matching plus on-platform AI classifiers) on all user-uploaded media.
- Respond promptly to reports involving suspected minors or CSAM, with the highest internal priority.
- Cooperate fully with law enforcement, NCMEC (US), the Internet Watch Foundation, and equivalent agencies worldwide.
- Publish a transparency report at least once a year covering the actions we have taken to protect children.
Policies
The following content and behaviour is strictly prohibited on Aove Mate. Any breach results in immediate, permanent removal of the account and, where the law requires it, referral to law enforcement.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind — photographic, animated, AI-generated, drawn, or otherwise.
- Sexualised content involving any person who is, or appears to be, under 18 years old.
- Grooming — building trust with a minor with the intent of meeting, exploiting, or abusing them.
- Solicitation of nude or sexual content from minors.
- Sharing personal contact details of a minor, or attempting to move a conversation with a suspected minor off-platform.
- Threats, intimidation, or harassment directed at a minor.
- Promotion of, advocacy for, or normalisation of any of the above.
- Trafficking, prostitution, or paid sexual encounters involving anyone — without exception.
- Account creation by anyone under 18, including by adults acting on a minor's behalf.
Age verification
We take a multi-layered approach to keeping minors off the platform.
- Date of birth at registration. Users who appear to be under 18 are blocked from creating an account.
- Live selfie verification at signup. A short live video confirms the user is a real person who matches their profile photos.
- Photo analysis using age estimation models. Profiles whose photos read significantly younger than the stated age trigger manual review.
- Behavioural signals — language patterns, time of activity, device characteristics — feed an automated risk score. High-risk accounts are reviewed by a human moderator before they can interact with other users.
- Periodic re-verification on accounts that show suspicious activity or are reported.
Detection and moderation
Every image and video uploaded to Aove Mate is scanned automatically before it is published:
- Hash matching against known-bad image hashes maintained by NCMEC, the Internet Watch Foundation, and Microsoft PhotoDNA.
- AI classifiers for nudity, sexual content, and apparent age detection.
- Text classifiers on profile prompts and chat messages for grooming language, age-related solicitation, and off-platform escalation patterns.
- Human moderation of any flagged content within 24 hours. Trust & Safety operates 24/7 across multiple regions.
Confirmed CSAM is preserved as required by law for the relevant authority, then removed from our systems. The user account is permanently banned, the device is blocked, and the case is referred to NCMEC's CyberTipline (US users), the Internet Watch Foundation (EU/UK users), or the equivalent national hotline.
Reporting mechanism
Every profile, photo, and chat in Aove Mate has a report button. Reports involving suspected minors or CSAM are routed to the top of the Trust & Safety queue and reviewed within 6 hours.
You can also report directly to us:
- Email: hw@hytqai.cn — use the subject line "Child Safety" for fastest routing.
- In-app: tap the user's profile → ⋯ → Report → "Underage user" or "Sexual content involving a minor".
If you believe a child is in immediate danger, please call your local emergency number first — then report to us.
Enforcement
Confirmed violations of this Policy result in:
- Immediate, permanent ban of the offending account, with no possibility of appeal.
- Device and IP blocks to prevent re-registration.
- Removal of all content the account has posted on the Service.
- Preservation of relevant evidence and referral to law enforcement and the relevant national hotline.
- Where appropriate, civil action against the offender.
We will cooperate with valid legal process from law enforcement, including data preservation requests, search warrants, and subpoenas, in accordance with applicable law.
Transparency
Aove Mate publishes an annual Child Safety Transparency Report covering, at a minimum:
- Number of accounts removed for suspected age violations.
- Number of CSAM reports submitted to NCMEC and equivalent agencies.
- Median response time for child-safety reports.
- Detection technology updates over the year.
The current report is available at aovemate.com/transparency (link goes live with the first annual report).
